FUTURE BETS

This is a line of probabilities published in advance of potential winners of several major events, such as the Superbowl, the World Series, the NBA championship and others.

STRAIGHT WAGER

It’s a simple bet on a result. A bet placed on a point difference or total for a single event or game.

PARLAYS

It is a bet on the result of 2 or more sporting events. The payments are much higher than those of a direct bet. But all your selections must win for the bet to be a winner. If there is a tie, the bet will revert to the next number and the corresponding payoff will be adjusted.

TEASERS

A teaser is a selection of two or more teams in a bet in which the difference in points or total, fits your favor. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determines the odds of payment. If one of the selections loses the whole bet is a loss.

A ‘tie’ or ‘no action’ and a ‘win’ on a teaser of 2 teams will be qualified as ‘no action’.

A ‘tie’ or ‘no action’ and a ‘loss’ on a two-team teaser will be qualified as a loss.

Ties on a regular teaser of 3 or more teams will be considered as no action, the risk amount will return to the player’s available balance.

IF BETS

They are bets that allow 2 selections (difference of points or totals) that are considered two direct bets based on the conditions. The first bet must win so that the second bet can have action. An “If bet” allows the option to potentially use winnings from the first bet on the second bet. There are two types: “If win only”, “If win, tie or cancel”.

REVERSE BET

There are essentially two direct bets and the total amount of the reverse will be the amount of each direct bet. It is a type of bet that contains two “If win, tie or Cancel” (if they win they tie or cancel), which can be the difference of points or totals. If you win the initial bet, tie or cancel the second bet will have action, if your second bet wins, tie or cancel you will also have action on your initial bet.

LINE

The probabilities or points split on a particular event.

MONEYLINE

The line for a team to win a match directly, with the tie not included.

NO ACTION

This is a bet where you don’t win or lose money.

RUNLINE

In baseball, it is a difference of points used instead of the money line.

OFF THE BOARD

This is a game that has either already started or the bookmaker will not accept any more action on it.

PUSH

It is a tied match when the difference in points or the total is taken into consideration.

ASIAN HANDICAP

It is when the loser gets a handicap, this handicap is expressed in goals or fractions of goals. In this type of betting, the tie is effectively removed from the game and a more competitive market is formed.

HANDICAP

This is a bet in which the least favorite (the dog) is awarded points or advantage goals.

JUICE

This is the profit margin or what you have to pay extra for every hundred units. For example, “-110 lines” have a ten percent juice and what you have to pay is $110.00 (one hundred and ten dollars) for every $100.00 (one hundred dollars) you want to earn.

FAVORITE

This is the team or ticket that is expected to win the event. The odds mentioned reflect the extent to which the choice is favored. It is expressed by a minus sign (-) before the probability figure, the higher the odds, the more favored the choice.

UNDERDOG (DOG)

This is the team or entry you are expected to lose also known as “dog”. The probabilities cited reflect the extent to which the choice is disadvantaged. It is expressed by a plus sign (+) before the probability figure, the higher the probabilities, the lower the probability of winning the election.

TOTAL

This is a line in the total score of a game, which includes the score of both teams added together. You can bet the total over or under.

PROPS

They are a specific bet offered by the house, especially on big games like NFL soccer; for example: “The first team to score points in the match”.
